Shelby:I am reading the book Ask Again Later by Jill A. Davis right now. This book is probably one of my favorite books I have read in a long time. It is one of those books that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Its is a about a women named Emily who had some very bad and some good relationships. Some of those relationships include Her and Her father. She does not call her dad she calls him by his firsat name Jim. He walked out on her and her mother when she was about 4 or 5. The have a strained relationship. Her and her mother are becoming pretty close because she finds out her mother has breast cancer and takes care of her. Then there is a guy named Sam who she has feelings for he is going through a divorse so she is there to comfort her i believe they will end up having something but i have not gotten to that place yet. I recommend this book to anyone who like real life kind of stories you can relate to.
Anonymous:The buzz in school libraries, especially in high schools, is to create a space for a cafe. With all the hype on school's teaching nutrition--offering caffeine, sugar, and chocolate seems in opposition. But still, there is great value in having these cafes. What's the mission here; what's the main idea? How does a school librarian really get this to take off? and maintain this popular environment? What interaction takes place here between students2students, students2teachers, teachers2teachers, and school2community? How do we build this environment, so that it is a place where "global literacy" is the talk of the cafe? PLEASE, feel free to go to the page called Library Cafe and post your thoughts! Courtney:I am glad you posted this where I can leave my booktalks, and I won't feel stupid about loving to read. I think all those readers out there should put a booktalk in and show others what reading is about, and maybe they will find something that interest them.
